Transfers: Complimentary pick ups are available from central accommodation. Must be pre-booked.

 

Departures: Daily. Closed Christmas Day.

  • If accommodation pick up has not been prebooked the client will need to make their own way to "The Station" on Shotover Street, 15 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time.

Safari of the Scenes - Wakatipu Basin (Option A)

This tour offers goldpanning, 4WD river crossings (when conditions permit) and a great overview of the diverse scenery of the Queenstown/Arrowtown area - from towns, to rolling farmland, rugged canyons, mountains, and bush and the famous Kawarau Gorge bungy bridge. The tour offers you a glimpse of the film locations of Minas Tirith, Misty Mountains, the Pillars of the Kings (Argonath), the site of Isildur's fall, and the Ford of Bruinen. You'll also overlook Deer Park Heights, where the Rohan refugees and the battle with the Wargs were filmed.

Minimum Numbers: 2.

Suitable for Disabled Clients: Please enquire for specific details.

Suitable for Children: Yes. Child ages 4 - 14, under 4 no charge, but please advise if a car seat is required.

Departures: 8.30am or 1.30pm (4 hours return)

Safari of the Scenes -Glenorchy (Option B)

This scenic tour offers breathtaking mountain and forest views along the shores of Lake Wakatipu towards Glenorchy and on into Paradise.  The tour includes the film locations of Isengard and Ithilien Camp, plus beech forests near those used for Lothlorien. You may also pass the area used to film the Seat of Seeing / the battle of Amon Hen

Suitable for Children:  Yes. Child ages 4 - 14, under 4 no charge, but please advise if a car seat is required.

Quad Safari

Personalised quad-bike tours (4WD motorbike), exploring the trails on Queenstown Hill, boasting 360 degree views.  Guides provide specific training, to ensure all are capable of handling the bikes.  This is followed by a guided tour on Queenstown Hill, following farm trails, with stops at excellent look out points for commentary and photo opportunities

Suitable for Children:  All clients must be over the age of 16 years with a restricted or full drivers licence. Children aged 12 to 15 can ride as a pillion passenger with a guide not with another rider.

Departures:  8.30am or 1.30pm (allow 3.5 hours duration)

Inclusions:  Light refreshments, specialised KBC safety and weather proof clothing and equipment is provided, including full protection helmets, padded kevlar jackets and pants, gloves and goggles.
