Visit the beautiful unspoilt old French whaling depot of Akaroa.  Join the Canterbury Cat for a two hour cruise to explore the delights of Akaroa Harbour, sighting dolphins, penguins, seals and the many marine birds in the area.

Akaroa Swim with the Dolphins

On arrival in Akaroa join the Canterbury Cat Too for a cruise sighting dolphins, penguins and seals and to enjoy your swim with the worlds smallest, rarest and friendliest dolphins, the Hector's dolphin.  Then spend time discovering Akaroa village before your return to Christchurch.

Suitable for Children: Yes. Minimum age is 7 years old.

Tour Departures: Daily 8.30am to 5.45pm. 

Inclusions: Hotel pickups, transport, cheese tasting, westsuit, mask, snorkel and flippers.

What to Bring:  Swimming costume and a towel

Special Conditions: Customers must have a basic skill level of swimming ability. The water is over your head and a degree of confidence in swimming is required. 


Hanmer Springs Day Tour including Lunch

This action packed day tour offers a variety of activities to cater for all tastes. Choose a jet boat ride, 30 minute neck massage or 9 holes of golf.  Watch the bungy jumping or have a go (optional and paid locally).  Drive up Jacks Pass into the mountains overlooking the Hanmer Plateau or explore the village of Hanmer Springs and enjoy a relaxing soak in the thermal hot pools.

Arthurs Pass Day Tour including Lunch, Train, Jet Boat & Farm Tour

Enjoy a tour of discovery travelling from Christchurch to Springfield to board the world famous TranzAlpine train and continue through the Southern Alps to Arthurs Pass.   Back on the road through the Otira Gorge we visit the old village of Otira before returning to Arthurs Pass for lunch.  Explore the village before your return by road to Christchurch stopping for an exhilarating jet boat ride and a visit to a farm for afternoon tea, followed by a sheep shearing and sheep mustering demonstration.

Suitable for Children: Yes. Jet boat ride will not be suitable for infants.

Kaikoura Whale Watch Boat or Light Plane

Travel through rich pastoral lands to Kaikoura, renowned for its acrobatic Dusky Dolphins and sightings of the giant Sperm whale.  Lunch is included at a local restaurant.  On the return journey we visit a seal colony where the fur seals may be viewed at close quarters followed by a stop at a North Canterbury winery where a wine tasting has been arranged for your enjoyment.

Suitable for Disabled Clients: No.

Suitable for Children: Yes. Children under 3 years are not able to join the boat tours however may travel free of charge on the light aircraft.

Kaikoura Whale Watch - Refund Policy
(a) Once the tour commences only the unused portion of the tour will be refunded should the boats not sail or the planes not fly.
(b) If due to lack of whale sightings or weather conditions the boats offers a partial refund, this refund will be passed onto our customers.
(c) If whale watch is undertaken by light aircraft and no whales are seen, no refund applies.
