Booking Information:

Flights operate with a minimum of 4 people in the helicopter and 2 people in the Cessna.  If you are travelling alone please advise at time of booking and we will try to arrange for others to make up minimum numbers.  The helicopter departs from the Paihia waterfront and the Cessna departs from Haruru Falls or Kerikeri airfield.  Transport can be arranged to and from the airport and is included in the price.  Due to petrol price increases, a fuel surcharge may apply.

Available Activities:
Helicopter Hole in the Rock - 20 minutes
A scenic flight over the beautiful Bay of islands. Fly over the crystal clear turquoise waters of the main island group to the world famous “Hole in the Rock”. The townships of Russell, Paihia and Waitangi are also viewed from the air.

Departures: Monday to Friday 6.30am to 7.00pm. Departure times can vary during winter (April to October).  

Heli Cruise Island Escape Day Tour - 20 minutes flight

A truly memorable and must do activity.  Depart Paihia boarding our Sea Shuttle boat for a relaxing cruise to the islands where we will drop you off on an island beach to enjoy hiking, fishing, snorkelling or just relaxing.  We pick you up again on the Sea Shuttle at a pre-arranged time taking you to our floating heli pad amongst the islands for a scenic helicopter flight to the Hole in the Rock and over all the islands returning back to Paihia.

Suitable for Disabled Clients: Determined on a case-by-case basis.

Suitable for Children: Yes. Children under 4 years old may travel on a parent's lap free of charge but where they may need their own seat the full adult fare is applicable. 

Departures:  9.00am to 4.30pm (approximate times) 1 October until 30 April from Paihia.  The Helicopter and Sea Shuttle transfers can operate in either direction based on availability of the helicopter.

What to Bring: Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear for a beach visit, hats, sunscreen, swimwear and towels for swimming.  Snorkelling equipment is available for hire.


Cape Reinga Fly/Drive (Aeroplane) ex Auckland Full Day

Flying from Auckland to the bay of Islands and continuing up the west coast via ninety mile beach we land at Cape Reinga for a 2½ hour tour exploring this magical area by comfortable air conditioned vehicle. Rejoin the aircraft for your scenic flight via the east coast to Paihia where you will have a few hours to explore this historical area, walk along the beautiful beach, do some shopping or visit Russell by ferry before your return flight to Auckland.

Cape Reinga by Air & 4WD (Aeroplane/Fixed Wing)

The tour begins with a flight up to Cape Reinga passing across the famous Ninety Mile Beach.  Landing at our inland airfield, we board a comfortable air-conditioned mini-bus for a 2½ hour tour visiting Cape Reinga Lighthouse and Tapotupotu Bay where we enjoy a light refreshment and a quick swim if desired.   We then move across to the Te Paki quicksand stream with its giant sand dunes. The return flight to the Bay of Islands includes some of the most spectacular coastal scenery Northland has to offer.

Departures: Two daily departures from October to mid April. One daily departure late April to the end of September.
