A "must see" in Wanaka, this 4 hour cruise and walk to the remote and magical Mou Waho Island Nature Reserve, is introduced predator free and home to the flightless Buff Weka- extinct on mainland NZ since 1920. The 1 hour guided bush walk on the island is included and takes you to the island's secret - a lake right on top of the island! Geologically unique and very photogenic. We have "high tea" here, taking in the birdsong and the panorama of the Southern Alps spread out before us, your guide pointing out the diverse flora and fauna of this amazing landscape. You plant a tree as part of this amazing eco experience and you get the chance to "give back" to the environment of this special island.

The jewel of World Heritage Mt Aspiring National Park, Rob Roy Valley is the most varied and spectacular one day walk in New Zealand. From the swing bridge, the rainforest, the narrow river chasms, cascading waterfalls and ice carving off the glacier opposite us, to crash down to the valley floor safely watched from our spectacular lunch spot, this trek has it all! Your guide will point out the 2600m peaks around us and the cheeky, intelligent alpine Parrot, the inquisitive Kea. We are the most experienced guides in this valley in the country, and can show you those secret places for the perfect shot. We do the driving up the scenic Matukituki Valley though the river fords on the 1 hour each way trip from Wanaka, just relax and take it all in in our air conditioned vehicle.
