The Helicopter Line Franz Josef

The Helicopter Line

From the icon locations of Mount Cook, Franz Josef Glacier, Fox Glacier and Queenstown The Helicopter Line can take you on a scenic flight or Franz Josef Heli Hike to discover NZ's National Parks, glaciers, mountains and lakes, often with a snow landing. The Helicopter Line can offer you close up views of our alpine regions that are otherwise restricted to the most adventurous mountain climbers.

Franz Josef Heli Hike.

Combine an awesome scenic helicopter flight over the glacier with a unique guided walk amongst the ice caves, pinnacles and seracs of the pristine alpine environment. The experienced and professional helicopter pilots’ informative commentary will showcase the exciting landscape for the adventure ahead. You’ll see the extraordinary colours of the ice-flow from above, and then up close, on an unforgettable guided hike amongst the glacier ice formations.
