Available Activities:
Agrodome Sheep Show

It is an action-packed hour of farming entertainment and education that is unlike anything you have seen before! Our energetic presenter will take you deep into the world of New Zealand farming where you will be introduced to 19 breeds of sheep; you will witness a live sheep shearing demonstration and even have the chance to bid on a sheep in our lively auction.

But it is not just about the sheep. Be amazed by the remarkable Huntaway dogs and our Strong-eye Heading dog as they demonstrate their ability to respond to commands and keep those sheep in line!

If a hands-on experience is what you want, then jump up on stage for the opportunity to feed the lambs or even hand-milk a cow! And the action does not stop there! When it is all over inside, head outside to observe the talent of our Strong Eye dog in a live dog trial with three sheep, or pop into the Woollen Mill and Shearing Shed, free of charge, to take in the history of the farming and wool industries.

During this multi award winning show you will be entertained and informed as a real kiwi shearer (black singlet and all) presents 19 breeds of champion sheep, shears a sheep using the world record Bowen technique, works noisy Huntaway and silent Strong-Eyed dogs and completes the New Zealand dog trial. Have the opportunity to milk a cow, feed a lamb and even buy a sheep!

Three shows daily at 9:30am, 11:00am and 2:30pm.

Suitable for all ages.
